Thomas D. Pollock

Founder & CEO

Tom Pollock grew up in Plant City, and graduated from Plant City High School where he was a three time state champion in swimming. He attended Western Kentucky University on a swimming scholarship and The University of Florida where he majored in Business Administration. Tom began his commercial banking career with Wachovia in Lakeland as a Business Banker then he helped build Community Southern Bank working directly under the CEO and Chief Lender. Tom relocated to Boca Raton to work in private and commercial banking with Northern Trust Bank and eventually returned to work in his home town of Plant City after being offered a position at Platinum Bank as Vice President, Commercial Lender. After Platinum Bank was acquired by CenterState Bank Tom became Market Executive for Pilot Bank in Polk County before founding Rival.

Tom also co-founded John K9 LLC, an elite dog training business that specializes in off leash training, rehabilitation of aggressive dogs, and protection dogs.

Over the course of his career he has been directly involved in direct funding of over $1 billion in commercial credit and commercial real estate mortgages. He has had extensive loan authority to make approvals in his past positions. This knowledge of the banking industry and capital markets is now being leveraged for Rival clients to secure the most competitive rates and terms on commercial loans available.

Eric Blanton

Chief Security Officer, Executive Vice President

A former resident of Plant City, Florida, Eric Blanton has had the opportunity to travel the world and learn from many different experiences. At the age of 20, Eric joined the United States Air Force where he served as an Intelligence Analyst in Hawaii for four years. During that time, he completed a tour in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After honorably serving for four years, Eric pursued the Information Technology sector working with an Intel Agency and the US Mint, before landing at the United States Department of Treasury in 2009. Starting as a contractor, Eric quickly excelled into a government position supporting the Senior Executives. Eric has traveled internationally with both Treasury Secretary Timothy Geitner and Jack Lew, where he was responsible for setting-up on-site offices for the delegation to perform their duties during economic conferences including the International Monetary Fund Annual Meetings, the G20 Summit, and the APEC Summit.
In addition to his role as Chief Security Officer and EVP with Rival, Eric currently specializes in Cyber Security for the US Treasury, where he assists with day-to-day operations along with IT support for Senior Executives.
Eric has a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and a Masters Degree in Information Systems from the University of South Florida.
